The term 'banger' gets thrown about maybe a little too often when discussing the best weed strains, but if any cultivar is fitting of such a title (and having the term in its name), then Sherbanger is the one.
Bred by Boston Roots Seed Co. (who teamed up with Bloom Seed Co.), the quality is plain to see. The breeding collective has done nothing short of a fantastic job of creating a true F1 hybrid. Sherbanger oozes class and quality with its downright drop-dead appearance and punchy flavour/aroma.
Striking that perfect 50/50 genetic balance of both Sativa and Indica weed strains, Sherbanger is the true outline of a crowd-pleaser. This is thanks to the parentage of Sunset Sherbet and Headbanger, two of Nor Cal's finest of the past decade.
But in a market flooded with balanced hybrids, what sets Sherbanger apart?
- The Flavour and Aroma - While many of our canna enthusiast brethren obsess over the THC potency of a strain, we think they are somewhat missing the point. Of course, potency matters, but as with most things in life, the true enjoyment comes from the experience, and that's what this strain delivers. It is an incredibly pungent and bud with a sweet, fruity aroma that starts out all sweet but quickly shows its "danker" side. Deisel dominates, in all the right ways.
- The Effects - The 50/50 genetic split offers up that sweet spot of effects that so many new-school hybrids chase but very few actually attain. You can think of Sherbanger as one of the real "Goldilocks" strains now available on the mass market - she starts out mostly Sativa, with a beautifully refreshing heady buzz to kick off proceedings. The high mellows out after 30 minutes or so, and slowly brings you back to the couch over the next 2 hours.
- The Looks - Is Sherbanger going to turn out to be super purple with red hues abound? Nope. But not all buds need to be a Jackson Pollock masterpiece to still offer up amazing bag appeal. The almost ridiculously oversized buds are coated with such a thick old layer of fluffy trichomes that they're not far off being moonrocks, and make for a hash or extract makers wetdream.
- The Grow - The balanced hybrid weed strain nature of Sherbanger means she lends herself to a surprisingly wide range of growing techniques and cultivation styles. But make sure you prepare in advance, as the rock-hard, sometimes baseball-sized nugs can (and will) eventually snap her branches - so it's best to get some support in place to prevent any mishaps.
