Permanent Marker

Also known as: Sharpie
Medical Hybrid Hybrid THC 25% CBD -

The thunderous boom that the cannabis world has undergone over the past decade or so has brought with it a bunch of "awards" that no one really cares about.

But, there are still a few honours that matter - The Emerald Cup, The High Times Cannabis Cup, and last, but probably most important, The Leafly "Strain Of The Year". Any strain that takes any one of these three is worthy of your attention, and Permanent Marker did just that.

Winner of the 2023 Leafly "Strain Of The Year", Permanent Marker made such a stir as soon as it was released that it has been nearly impossible to find here or in the USA.

A quick look at the genetic background shows why it is such a powerhouse. A pure cross of Biscotti, Jealousy, and Sherb Bx results in a truly interesting and potent hybrid weed strain that packs a punch that does the almost impossible - stand out from the pack of amazing new-school bangers that drop almost daily.

But what exactly makes Permanent Marker so special?

  • The Aroma - Love the smell of a freshly opened Sharpie? Yeah, so do we, and this is the first thing that hits you when you crack open a jar of Permanent Marker. The incredibly punchy stank is a breath of fresh air in the modern era of subdued, "fruity" strains. Its not all just funk though, as there is a sweet, almost doughy aroma mixed in that helps to balance things out.
  • The Potency - This is where Permanent Marker really shines. It's THC potency potential tips the 30% mark, and every last percentage point of that is felt. This is a "not for the faint of heart" strain and can quickly change plans.
  • The High - A full-bodied and well-balanced palate of effects offered up by the truest form of a creeper strain that you will ever find. Give it 5 minutes, and the weight of Permanent Marker will start to spread from your chest outwards and upwards. The old adage "start low and go slow" definitely applies here, as a little bit of Permanent Marker can and does go a long way.
  • The Aesthetics - Top-shelf strains are rarely "easy to grow", but that simply isn't the case with Permanent Marker. All it needs is a bit of space and time, and she will reward you with crystal-covered, purple and orange-flecked buds that are about as dense as they come.

A lot of true top shelf strains are not the easiest to grow. The more vigorous, highest greenery - or yield - the easier to grow. But the crystals then must be spread over a larger green area - so lower thc percentages (no matter what the label on your container says) As if. There is a trade off between yield and quality - no matter what some on the internet may claim. If one strain had the best quality and best yield, all dispensaries would be growing that strain. Blue Dream was close, but of course it wasn't lock down, narcotic stone, so that's a perfect case study.

After really enjoying the pineapple fruz thought I’d try the permanent marker They both grew really well, they both get me ripped, but the permanent marker smells like the bottom of a Betty’s 👜 Some of my Homies even gave it back to me and said it was rank and that the purse terps carried thru when doing bong rips 🤢
