Guava Dawg

Also known as: Guava Dog
Hybrid Hybrid THC 25% CBD -

Calling all fans of Stardawg, Tres Dawg, and the OG Hindu Kush region landrace Afghani - so, really, we are talking to everybody…

Guava Dawg was one of the hybrid weed strains of the year in 2016, and it is very easy to understand the hype.

Only hitting the UK in late 2017, this strain did what so many before had tried but ultimately failed - that is, knock the OG UK Cheese strain from top-spot and become the most popular strain in most parts of Great Britain.

Any strain with the Dawg in its name is almost definitely an offshoot of Chemdawg - but with the introduction of Guava Dawg, a new alpha was born. Taking all the very best traits from the Chemdawg line and injecting them with a real shot of exotic fruitiness, Guava Dawg is something special.

But what is it that makes Guava Dawg weed strain so special?

  • The High - Averaging between 23% to 26% THC, Guava Dawg sits ahead of the pack in terms of average potency. The high is the polar opposite of a creeper, with the fun kicking off as soon as the smoke (or vape) hits your lips.
  • The Genetics - Strain hunters love nothing more than to delve into the intricacies of a strain's lineage, but you don't have to dig too far with Guava Dawg to see just how strong her roots are. As the name suggests, this strain is a cross between Stardawg and Tres Dawg, with a dash of Afghani thrown to even things out just slightly. An Indica dominant strain with just enough Sativa genetics to keep things light and giggly, this is a strain with real pedigree.
  • The Terpenes - The three dominant terpenes that Guava Dawg pumps out are considered the 'Holy Trinity' of weed terps - Myrcene, Limonene, and Beta-Caryophyllene. Not only do they balance each other perfectly in terms of the aromatic and flavour profiles, but they also work together to enhance the effects of the strain.
  • The Medical Benefits - Myrcene is known for its sedative properties, which are perfect for relaxation and pain relief, while Limonene can help boost mood and energy levels. Beta-caryophyllene is the only terpene that has been proven to actually interact with our bodies' endocannabinoid system, making it an anti-inflammatory and potential mood stabiliser. And then we have the high THC potency, which is perfect for managing symptoms of depression, anxiety, stress, and pain. All in all, a great medical cannabis strain.
